Before You Book: Important Guidelines
We want to ensure a smooth and hassle-free braiding experience for you. Please review our hair requirements, policies, and important information before proceeding with your booking. Following these guidelines helps us provide the best service possible.
HAIR REQUIREMENTS
- Hair must be cleaned, product-free (no more than 3 days), completely detangled, and blow-dried from roots to tips (no exceptions).
- Lack of preparation will result in cancellation, with deposit forfeited or a fee applied.
- Hair must be at least 3 inches all over.
- Inform us of any scalp conditions (bald spots, thin edges, hair breakage).
- Hairstyles may take longer depending on hair texture.
- Some styles require hot water or candles to seal braids. Your cooperation is required to limit liability.
- Do not install braids within a week of a perm, relaxer, or chemical treatment.
HUMAN HAIR REQUIREMENTS
Please purchase human hair at least 3–5 days before your appointment.
ALLERGIES
- Inform us of any allergies to braiding hair or hair products.
- You may request a hair wash before your appointment to prevent reactions.
- Book a consultation if unsure.
HOME SERVICE
- Booking is a submission for approval. If the location is ineligible, the appointment will not be approved.
- The final cost includes the style price + travel upcharge and is confirmed after approval.
- Once approved, deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- Failure to follow policies may result in cancellation.
- Mariam’s Hair Braiding is not responsible for issues due to lack of preparation or failure to follow guidelines.
- 30-minute courtesy window: If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, your appointment will be canceled without a refund of the deposit.
